Comprehensive Eye Exam
VISUAL ACUITY
Is vision clear at long distance, near, and at computer distance? Do you see better or worse than 20/20?
REFRACTIVE STATUS
Measurement and evaluations are made for nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, and presbyopia (the need for reading glasses)
EYE TEAMING AND FOCUSING SKILLS
Beyond just checking if you see 20/20, we want to make sure that your eyes are working as a team and that you can get sustained, comfortable vision. If your eyes do not aim and move together as a team it can cause eye fatigue, strain, and even double vision.
Contact Lens Fitting & Evaluation
Have you had discomfort or dryness with contact lenses? Or have you been told you can’t wear contacts because of your prescription? Dr. O’Halloran has extensive experience fitting all types of contact lenses including patients with high astigmatism and multifocal lenses (contacts that help you see near and far). She will go over all the options and new technology in contact lenses to come up with an option that is most functional for you.
Ophthalmic/Eye Health Services
Eye pressure test (without the dreaded ‘puff of air’), visual fields/peripheral vision, anterior and posterior retinal check are evaluated for the presence of many eye diseases and conditions such as glaucoma, macular dege neration, cataracts, high blood pressure, diabetic retinopathy, high cholesterol and many more systemic diseases.
Dry Eye Management
Dry eye, while a seemingly simple issue, can fluctuate vision and cause redness, burning, irritation, and even discomfort with contact lenses. If you feel like you suffer from any of theses symptoms please discuss with your doctor at your eye exam to get the best possible treatment.
Eye Emergencies
We include emergency eye service for eye infections, injuries, or changes in vision or sudden vision loss. We are available for emergency eye care after hours or on the weekends.
